My Cousin called me two days before the concert and asked me if I wanted to go. She had 2 VIP tickets which landed us a parking spot 3 spots away from the Arena Building. We got wrist band and free swag, a dinner/dessert, viewing of George's private stuff and 4th row seats! It was awesome!
We had to stand in line for awhile to get memorabilia then went in search of our seats. The concert was in the round, so Martina McBride pretty much circled around. My Cousin thought that we weren't at the part of the stage where George would focus his attention, but it turned out that we were, and she was on freaking cloud 9!
The only problem we had was that I almost got into a fight. This 20 something chick behind me wouldn't shut up when George was explaining the history behind his song "Blame it on Mexico" which I really wanted to hear. I leaned back, looked at her and said "Shhhhh". Her face dropped and in front of her 9 year old said "You did not just Shush me!" And I leaned back and said "Yes I did". Then she screams "You did not fucking just Shush me!" and I leaned back again and said in a moderate voice, "For $400 per ticket, Yeah, I did shush you..do you want to make something of it?" As she's considering my challenge, her guy friend who was sitting behind me told her to "Shut the fuck up, I'm trying to listen to George"! She let it go, and shut up.
Other than that...it was a top night! Here's some pics...enjoy!
